i wonder if it's common practice for other blogs to randomly change their blog names once in a short while. because i did it first and then connie did it and we both do it now to a ridiculous degree. so i'll just go rename my blog now again.

wow, i got an ipod. it's gorgeous. and the packaging was gorgeous, too. apple has great graphic designers. :)

summer finally came today .. in the form of a lot of nothing to do and eighty-degree weather. mm, just the way i like it. ;) i'm on page 420something in harry potter (i .. can't stop reading), and i didn't do much else except for cleaning the house and tutoring. i lead a very exciting life. anyway. i was thinking about writing one of those obligatory graduation blogs yesterday (obligatory is definitely my new favorite word), but i think i got bored in the middle or something. i tend to wander off sometimes. SO. the graduation banquet on friday was super good. the under(lower)classmen were hilarious, our video came out okay (definitely not as cool as i had hoped though - stupid procrastination ><), and eileen's video was... how do you say.. tearjerking? emotionally powerful? haha. all the seniors i saw were crying (including eric, heehee) and christina was doing the gaspy, heavy sobbing thing. sigh. eileen, you silly girl. we're not DYING! but yeah. graduation is really sad sometimes. you're forced to think about how you've become so close with a group of people, how natural it feels to be with them, and about how you'll all be leaving and making new lives and new friends within a matter of months. but then again, like a wise connie once said, "making new friends never means leaving old ones behind. you'll always have each other because the memories you've made over the past however many years will always be with you." so to all of you reading this, thanks for the many fond memories. we might not be seeing each other all the time anymore, but i doubt that'd change anything. :)

plus, i'll probably be seeing you a lot over the summer anyway... but i thought i'd just say it now before we all get emotional again. :)

i never got a chance to post about the coldplay concert, but i've probably raved enough about it to most of you. but.. i need to say at least *something* about it. so read this. it's my brother's xanga, and he expresses my thoughts exactly. so yeah. i'll just say that coldplay is amazing. chris martin is a genius. aand.. i wanted to cry with joy when he sang the scientist. and yellow. and politik was awesome. okay, i'll stop, you can just read chris's xanga.

this big fat groundhog got into our garage today. it was very cute. and fat. it chewed off part of the wall and through the fence that is supposed to keep little kiddies from falling of the stairs into a big ditch leading to the basement. but it was cute and we got it out. i wouldn't say in the most humane way possible, but we got it out.
ooooh and guess what book my mom got me today! THE MATRIX AND PHILOSOPHY!!! it's awesome so far. after i finish reading it, i'm gonna frame it, if that's possible, and hang it on my wall!
wow i haven't blogged since i don't remember when i last blogged i'm tired i better go to sleep i have so many fun errands and paperwork to fil out tomorrow score. i wish i had a normal football.

i played an amazing game of risk today. dave, albert, and i played a variation where instead of initially placing armies strategically one after another, we shuffled the cards and dealt them out among the three of us, and then we claimed the countries that were on the cards. and then placed down more armies to come out with a total of thirty-five. somehow dave had all of australia in his cards, and he was dominating the game quite early on. i thought i was out when i had only three-four territories left, but then when dave failed to destroy me in mongolia, i came back. and he also failed to destroy me when he attempted a run at me through eastern asia and down into australia -- i was left with one army in one country at the end. and i came back and wrecked him. we started sometime around four, dave was out by six or seven, and albert and i continued until after nine. there was one point where he had me, after destroying at least twenty of my territories one by one on a worldwide rampage, and i was in japan with one guy left. and he had one chance to get me. one on one. and i rolled a six. anyway, after a lot of "juggernauting" as david calls it, albert won by destroying me everywhere. i'm proud of him. what a game.

haha, minesweeper dorks. ;)

so we spent around six hours doing the senior skit today. it's going to take a lot of time to do. and we have very, very little time to get it done. and very many people to organize. uh oh. but if it turns out the way we envisioned it, it will be super duper cool. stupid procrastination. blargh. ><

wahoooo, yearbooks tomorrow! how exciting. =)

i've finished beginner in 7 seconds, intermediate in <50 and i don't remember expert. there's a trick in doing it really fast. and it's not cheating either.

i was playing minesweeper the other day and i was so proud when i finally cracked it on the "expert" level. here are my times: 18 seconds on "beginner", 127 seconds (2:07) on "intermediate", and 434 seconds (7:14) on "expert".

i've tried a few times to make an ultimate playlist. okay, not really, but i've thought about it. :) i can never get past one or two songs because i have terrible recall. like now, all i can think of is.. 'yellow' by coldplay, 'stay' by lisa loeb, and 'a beautiful future' (i think that's what it's called) by our lady peace. there have to be more.

so you know what's exciting? i finished the paper. wahahaha.... it's pretty sloppy (i don't know if i actually prove my thesis) and it's definitely not revised, but WHATEVER. whitten can no longer have the satisfaction of dominating an entire night of mine. i laugh at her. HA!

=)

hm, what kind of accordion? i need an accordion because you can only be cool if you have one. this is the truth i've discovered in the past year. anyway, i think i will build my personal ultimate playlist. it's hard to discern among songs i like a little or a lot, songs i like sometimes or all the time, and songs i like only temporarily. hm.

basketball is fun.
there's a flight simulator in microsoft excel?

sporadic sunny days! i think it'd be cool to learn how to play an accordian. you can sway along with the fan part. um, yeah.
those were mandy moore lyrics! i really like that song.

anyway, i just decided to drop by because it's 4:00 and i have 30 more minutes of work and nothing to do. i'd read my harry potter and the goblet of fire book but it's really big and it might look bad reading that in the office. so i'm just gonna play on the computer and look like i'm doing stuff. ooh, i found pinball in microsoft 97 and sometimes i fool with the flight simulator in excel 97. it's a good way to kill time:) i need to
